The Clattern Lecture Theatre combines audio visual equipment to deliver and stimulate students on a visual and intellectual level. Large screen projectors can be used in conjunction with interactive panels to allow the lecturer to truly engage. The use of visualisers and document cameras, allows the lecturer to interact with the audience in new and exciting ways, displaying 3d images and objects to enhance the learning experience.
The JBL sound system provides superb audio quality.
Stratos Control Systems were engaged to design the Building Management System which provides tight control of space temperature and Co2 levels during occupancy periods, whilst ensuring that energy consumption is reduced to a minimum at all other times.
The control panels housing the Trend BMS system components and low voltage control gear were designed and built in our Great Harrowden workshops.

British Bakels, Bicester, is a leading supplier of baking ingredients. They operate from modern production facilities and offer high service levels to commercial bakeries and other food manufacturers. Bakels required a system that would simplify the production of hundreds of products whilst providing consistent quality; they chose Wonderware’s InBatch software system which was deployed by Stratos Control Systems Ltd.

Tata Steel
This control panel was transformed from catastrophic failure to a fully operational unit within 72 hours.
The burnt out panel was collected from TATA Steel, Corby tube works on Friday Midday. Our engineers worked throughout the weekend to restore the panel to full operation, delivering it back to the works by 8.00am Monday morning.
By Monday evening the panel was installed, connected and the production line running once more.

Butchers Pet Care
Can Filling And Seaming Machines Control System Upgrade
The instigation for this upgrade was twofold. Butchers Petcare had recently changed their control system standard to Siemens S7. The existing filling and seaming machines were mechanically sound, however the control system was limiting through put. Our investigation confirmed that the existing sensors and PLC scan times were limiting potential line speed improvement.
Stratos Control Systems were engaged to replace the existing 3 PLC systems with a single Siemens S7 300. This controller is compliant with Butchers Petcare common spares holding and engineer skill set.
A Siemens 10” colour touch screen H.M.I. was also selected for operator control and over view. Machine safety was improved by the installation of a Pilz programmable safety system. Safety integrity level (S.I.L.) was determined following a specialist survey.
A key exchange system further improved production line safety, during can size and tool changes. Key project benefits were a 20% plus speed improvement resulting in a payback of under 6 months.
